About Progressive Behavior Therapy Inc.

Progressive Behavior Therapy Inc. is a trusted provider of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services in the Waterloo Region, dedicated to supporting children and families living with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Founded in November 2008, PBT was established with the goal of providing families with access to high-quality, evidence-based ABA therapy and social skills training. Since its founding, our organization has remained committed to helping children build meaningful skills that promote independence, communication, and success in everyday life.

At PBT, our team is composed of highly trained and experienced professionals who bring more than 25 years of combined experience supporting children on the autism spectrum. Our mission is to empower each child to reach their fullest potential through individualized, data-driven programs grounded in the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. Every treatment plan is carefully developed to reflect the unique strengths, needs, and goals of the child and their family.

Progressive Behavior Therapy Inc. is led by Carrie Spence, M.Sc., BCBA, RBA, Founder and Director, whose leadership and clinical expertise guide the organization’s commitment to excellence in ABA services. She is supported by a dedicated leadership team of Senior Therapists—Keltie Heggie, Caitlyn Heggie, and Jenelle Wagner—who play an integral role in overseeing program development, therapist training, and client support.

Our ABA team includes 20 skilled Direct Therapists who are passionate about delivering high-quality, compassionate care.

Together, our team works collaboratively to provide services across our two therapy centres as well as in private schools and/or daycare settings, ensuring that families receive consistent, effective support in environments where children learn and grow.
